Transmedia Writing Practicum
Course Description
This advanced studio practicum focuses on writing a transmedia project based upon the outline/prospectus created in SCR684 and, in consultation with the instructor, create an action plan for future revision. This course is graded S, U, or H.
Learning Outcomes
- Synthesize advanced transmedia study to write a transmedia project (i.e. based on but not limited to comic books, console videogames, web-series and graphic novels, etc.
- Incorporate constructive criticism in a forward plan for the transmedia project revision.
- Analyze the experience of writing for transmedia in Discussion Board postings.
- Compose a plan for expanding the project into a franchise/series.
