In recent years, our increased understanding of the neurological underpinnings of trauma and our greater appreciation for its dramatic impact on individuals, families, and societies have created the need for practitioners possessing both the foundational knowledge and practical skills necessary to work effectively and humanely with trauma sufferers.

The Certificate in Trauma Studies offers current students and practicing professionals the opportunity to expand their knowledge in this area that is of vital importance to an array of industries, including health care, mental health care, rehabilitation, first-responders, and public health.

This program normally combines campus-based and online courses. National University transitioned courses online to proactively respond to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and protect the health and well-being of our campus community. To ensure the continuity of education for our students and as a practical matter, please be prepared to conduct coursework online until July 2021, and until further notice.
