Dr. Jacob Kaminker, Professor, Counseling Psychology

Jacob Kaminker, PhD is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of California (PSY 26445) with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, an MA in Depth Psychology from Sonoma State University, and a BA from Rutgers College in Psychology and Philosophy.

In addition to seeing clients in a private practice setting, Jacob is a Professor and former Chair of the Master’s in Counseling Psychology at the John F Kennedy College of Psychology at National University. Formerly, he was Chair of Holistic Counseling Psychology at John F. Kennedy University (JFKU), Founding Director of the Depth Psychotherapy Program and Director of the Expressive Arts Therapy Program at JFKU. He has sat on the Board of Directors for the Association of Transpersonal Psychology and the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association, and is a Past President of the San Francisco Psychological Association. His research and publications have been in the areas of mindfulness, self-compassion, spiritual diversity in clinical practice, dreams, and imagination. He has presented internationally on Jungian psychology, dreams, imagination, and spiritual diversity.
