Course Description
This course provides an introduction to European politics, with emphasis on political institutions and politics of Western and Eastern European states, as well as the institutions and policies of the European Union (EU).
Learning Outcomes
- Compare and contrast politics of the industrialized countries of Europe, particularly the politics of the United Kingdom, France and Germany.
- Analyze the historical and cultural reasons for the differences among great powers of Europe.
- Able to investigate some of the common contemporary problems facing European countries.
- Understanding of the evolution of European integration and the current role of the European Union in European politics.
