Course Description
This course will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to install configure and administer Database Management Systems. Topics included in this course are conceptual understanding of data storage architecture, creation and management of files, groups, databases, tables, queries, locking options, indexes and data views.
Learning Outcomes
- Identify the steps used to install, configure Database Management systems.
- Demonstrate the skills and methods required for DB administration tasks.
- Use database tools to manage data integrity and security.
- Communicate knowledge of how to manage database systems technologies with a constant focus on insuring consistency of the data system.
