Integrative Project

Course Description

The capstone project is an empirical study that integrates theoretical and applied concepts and results in a 20-30 page paper (APA style). The student will be required to develop a project proposal during HUB 650 and HUB 670 that can then be completed during the capstone course. This course may not be taken as an independent study.

Learning Outcomes

  • Apply library search strategies and guidelines for scholarly writing according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th Edition.
  • Evaluate the ethical and political constraints imposed on social and behavioral research in the real world.
  • Create a research project using secondary or primary data to investigate a research proposition.
  • Write a graduate-level research paper that includes a literature review, methods, research findings, and discussion.
