Communication for Managers
An analysis of interpersonal communications as related to organizational effectiveness. Covers the practical application of communication theory to work-related situations.
- Define and critically analyze the various characteristics of verbal communication including such as pitch, speed, loudness.
- Define and critically analyze the various forms of non-verbal communication and relevant behavioral norms including cultural constraints.
- Demonstrate effective communication by performing one-to-one, group and public speaking activities.
- Research, analyze, and describe, in a written/oral report, a workplace situation and how/why some of the theories and processes examined are pertinent.
