School Psychologists Internship Seminar
Course Description
Students will review the knowledge, skills, and standards of the graduate program in school psychology in final preparation for their employment as professional school psychologists. Students will prepare for the ETS Praxis examination, complete their program portfolios, and present their school project as part of this course. Grading is by H, S, or U only.
Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate knowledge of the 11 NASP domains.
- Demonstrate a professional level of written and oral communication.
- Assimilate student understanding of legal and ethical issues with new court rulings and CASP/NASP positions.
- Integrate student understanding of cross-cultural issues with a further investigation of cultural, linguistic, ethnic and economic factors that affects the work of school psychologist, in addition to affecting the results of assessment, consultation and counseling.
