Course DescriptionFocus on acquiring and enhancing skills in the selection, administration, scoring, interpretation, reporting of screening assessment instruments. Emphasis on designing and implementing curricula based on assessment results.
- Analyze data collected from observations and assessments in planning new learning experiences and/or strategies for identification and referral.
- Explain the selection and use of formal and informal developmentally appropriate assessment instruments to teachers, family members, and professionals
- Demonstrate communication skills involving families in the assessment process and/or need for further assessments
- Identify terms such as authentic assessment, formative assessment, summative assessment, documentation panels, photo essays, and other terms.
