Course Description

An in-depth study of various types of organizational structures, both formal and informal, with special emphasis on behavior of people within those structures.

Learning Outcomes

  • Compare and contrast the cultural values and patterns that govern organizational communication, worker motivation, leadership, employee attitudes, team dynamics, organizational change, and cultural perspectives in the workplace.
  • Analyze and apply the major concepts and events that have impacted the evolution of the workplace. Critically analyze the nature of the constructs and the applications of major theories of workplace behavior.
  • Research, analyze and describe, in a written/oral report, a case/workplace situation and how/why some of the theories examined are pertinent.
