Dr. Louis E. Rumpf

Louis E. Rumpf, Lead Faculty of the B.A. in Strategic Communications program, received his Ed.D. in Education and Concentration in Media Studies from Fielding Graduate University. His expertise in media studies focuses on the creation of social reality in media production and through media transmission. He earned a Master of Arts in Speech Communication from San Diego State University with an emphasis in mediated communication. Prior to the MA, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from California State University Northridge. He has instructed at National University since May 2002, designing and teaching a variety of onsite and online English, Communication, Media Studies, Marketing/PR, and digital media design/software courses. As an active member of the Western States Communication Association (WSCA), he reviews competitive papers for and currently is the Chair of the WSCA Media Studies Interest Group. In addition, he presents papers, videos, and workshops at various annual conventions and conferences. Finally, two of his 30-second PSA videos that support local non-profit organizations have been broadcast locally in San Diego.
