National University named Title Sponsor of 2013 Holiday Bowl

San Diego, Calif. – National University has been named the title sponsor of the 2013 Holiday Bowl, bowl president Bill Geppert announced today. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The National University Holiday Bowl, as it will be known, celebrates its 36th game this year when it pairs teams from the Pac-12 and Big 12 Conferences. The game is set for Monday, Dec. 30 with a 7:15 p.m. PT kickoff at Qualcomm Stadium and will be televised nationally on ESPN.

“We are excited to partner with National University, a prominent educational institution for the 2013 Holiday Bowl,” Geppert said. “It’s a bonus when you welcome a fellow nonprofit organization into the mix. We have many of the same objectives – including supporting the community – and we are eager to get going. It’s an exciting time.”

“Sponsoring the National University Holiday Bowl deepens our support of the communities in which we serve, while showcasing our commitment to accessible, lifelong learning to a national audience,” said Dr. Michael Cunningham, president of National University. “National University and the Holiday Bowl also share a nonprofit mission that dates back to both institutions’ foundations in the 1970s. We are excited and proud to be a part of one of the bowl season’s most anticipated and beloved annual traditions, the Holiday Bowl.”
