Alumni Association to Host Mixer at Mission Brewery
The National University Alumni Association expects its best attended event ever, with more than 200 RSVPs already registered for an evening at Mission Brewery in downtown San Diego on February 23.
The Brewery, located at 1441 L Street, was originally established in 1913.Like most breweries of the time, it went out of business during the first year of Prohibition. In 2007, homebrewer Dan Selis re-established the brand and eventually relocated the manufacturing and the tasting room to Downtown San Diego in the Historic Wonder Bread Building in the East Village.
The mixer begins at 5 p.m., followed by beer tasting tours, beginning at 5:15 p.m. Guests can sign up for tours at the check-in table. Don Ellis BBQ will be available onsite, should attendees choose to purchase food (vegetarian option available)
Each guest will receive a drink token redeemable for any of the following: a taster flight (choose any 4 beers to try), a full pour of beer, or a full craft malt cocktail. There will be an interactive Q&A period to learn more about beer brewing and the micro brewing industry. There will also be a chance to win a four-pack of tickets to a Padres game.
Street parking is available. Guests can take the trolley, or they can park on the ACE parking lot for $3.00 dollars. For more information, please contact the Alumni Association at email@example.com.
