100% Doctoral Faculty
Earn your advanced degree from faculty who bring the highest level of credentials and professional experience.
As part of our commitment to academic excellence in online higher education, National University maintains a 100% trained doctoral faculty who possess extensive knowledge and experience in their chosen disciplines, including teaching, research, and the development of curricula. Our doctoral faculty have earned their doctorates from a variety of high-performing institutions. This is an essential component of NU’s personalized learning model, which relies on faculty to bring their diverse knowledge and experiences to students.
At NU, graduate students can choose from an array of academic programs at the master’s and doctoral levels. These students have made a significant commitment to pursuing an advanced degree, and we honor that commitment by providing faculty who support the whole student while understanding their personal commitments and learning needs. With their deep subject-matter knowledge and applicable career skills, our faculty understand what it takes to help graduate students earn their degrees.
In our graduate programs, faculty do not hide behind lectures, quizzes, and exams. They provide individualized feedback on student work each week, offering guidance tailored to each student’s level of understanding while supporting a scaffolded learning experience. With their advanced credentials and professional experience, NU’s faculty are valuable contributors to their fields and communities, preparing students to become lifelong learners, advance in their careers, and create better futures for themselves and others.
“At National University, I was able to bring myself out of my shell with all the courses, all the assignments, and what attracted me to National was the dedication of our mentors. I’m very, very happy to be part of NU.”
– Dr. Femi Akindele, PhD in Educational and Organizational Leadership, Alum
Faculty Development
Faculty engagement is one of the most critical parts of student learning and well-being at NU. National University’s faculty training team provides ongoing training and support services for all faculty members. Topics include using multimodal learning activities, providing constructive feedback, identifying additional resources for students, and effective communication. To ensure our teaching faculty are current in their fields and skills, they continually engage in professional development activities as both learners and presenters, conduct research for publication in professional journals, and publish books within their areas of expertise. At NU, our faculty are committed to supporting graduate students, working hard to see their smiles at graduation!
