How do I access Office 365?

There are multiple ways to access Office 365. At National University we encourage you to use your Single Sign-On account at nu.okta.com. Once logged onto your Single Sign-On account, simply click the “Office 365” button.

What is Office 365?

Office 365 is a subscription plan provided for employees of National University. It allows users to access Microsoft Office and other Microsoft products over the Internet. The full list of downloadable desktop versions are: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Skype for Business, InfoPath, and OneDrive for Business.
These downloadable products can be installed on up to five personal devices. These five devices include PCs, Macs, iOS, and Android products.

Do I have to download Office?

Downloading Office 365 ProPlus is completely optional for your personal use. You are able to download Office 365 ProPlus on up to five personal devices! Please be sure to not install Office 365 ProPlus on any device that already has the Office productivity suite on it. This will cause a conflict and neither instance will work properly.

What is OneDrive and how do I use it?

OneDrive is a free online storage that is included with your Office 365 account through National University. It’s similar to having an extra hard drive except there is no hard drive failure potential. Setting up OneDrive is completely optional once you’ve received your Office 365 account. If you do choose to set it up, your PC hard drive will simply be replicated over the internet. This allows for access to your files no matter what device you use.

How do I get my mail on my phone?

Setting up your account on your mobile can be done quickly. If you follow the instructions included on this site you can set up your mail in less than ten minutes!

There are many resources for learning about Office 365. To learn the specifics about Office 365 at National University please review our documentation. Microsoft offers a FAQ site at Microsoft Office 365 FAQs. For staff and faculty, there are great training videos available on Lynda which can be accessed through https://nu.okta.com.
