National University earned a 2003 Award of Excellence for "Best Practices in Educational Fundraising" from District VII of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
The CASE Silver Medal was in recognition of National University's 21st Century Club, which was established in FY 2001 as a means and an incentive for employees to make contributions to the Endowment, thereby investing in their future, as well as making a statement of pride in their work. Since then, total contributions have nearly tripled. Cumulative contributions to date total $230,000.
Each year, staff and faculty are encouraged to join or renew their membership in the 21st Century Club and contribute to one of several University endowments through gifts of cash or payroll deductions. IN FY 2003 the 21st Century Club met and exceeded its goals to raise at least $70,000 and to achieve 85 percent participation among designated administrators. The long-term goal is 100 percent participation from all faculty and staff.
