Course Description
TED 611 examines how educational psychology is applied to learning and teaching. Learning theories, instructional approaches, learning environments and student assessment are studied.
Learning Outcomes
- Identify and describe the components of:
a. Behavioral Learning Theory; and
b. Cognitive Learning Theory.
- Identify and describe:
a. An Effective Lesson and approaches to instruction.
b. Adaptive Instructional Strategies that make curriculum content accessible to students with diverse needs.
- Identify and describe:
a. Theories of Motivation; and
b. Classroom management strategies and practices, including family relationships and least restrictive environments, that contribute to creating a positive learning environment.
- Identify and describe:
a. Student learning assessment; and
b. Testing and Grading
