Focus on authentic informal and formal formal assessments for infants and toddlers, and the use of case study to develop observation skills leading to the promotion of responsive environments.
- Explain the value of observation and assessment with infants and toddlers to families and others.
- Identify focused, intentional and objective observation and assessment techniques with infants and toddlers.
- Analyze data compiled from observation and assessment including family and other professional sources to assist in the design of individual action plans.
- Employ appropriate communication skills in involving families in the observation and assessment process.
