- Explain the function of play as a teaching and learning tool in the development and education of children.
- Use play activities as an assessment tool to identify skills, abilities, accomplishments and developmental lags in children.
- Design instruction to extend play through the use of art, music, dance, and movement.
- Design appropriate play activities involving families.
