Course Description

An introductory educational research course designed to provide knowledge, skills, and dispositions required for students to understand and demonstrate quantitative and qualitative research. Emphasis is on the knowledge and skills required to be a competent consumer and producer of educational research.

Learning Outcomes

  • Critically evaluate a published qualitative and quantitative educational research study, adhering all aspects of APA style.
  • Interpret statistical strategies such as t-tests, analysis of variance, chi-square, analysis of co-variates, paramentric and nonparametric tests, comma, and correlational statistics.
  • Design a research plan including the application of statistical and practical significance, adhering to all aspects of APA style.
