The theories, principles, and concepts related to leadership, administration, and management applied to education. Application and implications of theory for the instructional leader and education-related manager.

  • Examine the role of the leader in a variety of educational settings.
  • Be able to apply theoretical and practical perspectives to ethical decision-making.
  • Understand how to apply the roles of administrators/managers in group processes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of multi-cultural and gender sensitive issues of leadership.
  • Be able to differentiate between short and long range needs led by a vision of learning.
  • Understand how to apply effective leadership communication skills.
