|Course Description: Introduction to the classic theories, frameworks and ethics of leadership practice. Students identify and assess their own leadership philosophy, then analyze the relationship between it and selected theories of leadership. Students evaluate ethical decision making processes and assess the potential impact of leadership strategies on organizations.
|Course Learning Outcomes:
- Evaluate theories of leadership; consider strategies, and ethical practices.
- Compare and contrast the roles of leaders, including authority and influence.
- Analyze the relationship between leadership theories and ethical frameworks.
- Develop a model of leadership and use it as a basis to solve problems.

Ethical behavior in the classroom is required of every student. The course will identify ethical policies and practices relevant to course topics.
Students are expected to be competent in using current technology appropriate for this discipline. Such technology may include word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. Use of the internet and e-mail may also be required.
