Concentration in Professional Golf Management

This emphasis is designed to prepare students for entry into the field of professional golf management and coaching. These courses are designed to include practical experiences in coaching, instruction, and player development as well as introduce students to contemporary issues in golf management.

Program Learning Outcomes

1. Present a case study analysis of a financial situation presently being faced in the golf industry and explore methods for facing the challenges presented in the case study.
2. Articulate a philosophy and approach to instruction and player development.
3. Utilize basic turf grass science and apply that knowledge to an environmentally sensitive golf facility.
4. Use common methods of analysis to measure a facility’s financial performance.
