Dr. Damon MartinAssociate Faculty Assistant Professor School of Professional Studies
My name is Damon Martin and since April 2012, I have had the pleasure being an Associate Faculty Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice in the School of Professional Studies here at National University. As a licensed attorney who has a legal practice focusing on criminal defense, I teach primarily in the Criminal Justice Department. Prior to joining the National University family, I taught in the Criminal Justice Department at University of Phoenix.
In 1994 I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University at Northridge.
After graduation I worked for a year as a counselor and professor at California State University at Pomona.
In August 1995 I enrolled in law school at Pepperdine University, School of Law. I graduated in May 1998 from Pepperdine University, School of Law where I earned a Juris Doctor degree. Shortly, after graduation I began my career as an attorney in 1999.
On October 17, 2013, I represented the Multi-Cultural Leadership Korea Visitation Program before the South Korea National Assembly.
I am very excited about the upcoming Criminal Justice cohort that will launch in 2015 at Whittier Star Center, Torrance Police Department and at the Los Angeles Learning Center. Also in early 2016 we plan to launch a Criminal Justice cohort at the Woodland Hills Learning Center.
