Course Description

This seminar focuses on developing realistic characters and writing credible dialog for entertainment projects such as movies, TV series or any filmed media in which fictional characters exist.

  • Analyze the components of characterization
  • Analyze the components of dialog specific to various cinematic genres and styles
  • Integrate an understanding of character and dialog into original critiques of specific genres.
  • Design and construct effective characterizations and dialog through writing exercises.
