This course prepares students to become a certified Manager of Quality/Excellence. Upon successful completion, students will be prepared to lead and champion process-improvement initiatives that can have regional or global focus in a variety of service and industrial settings. Course content will cover the numerous functions of this management position which include facilitating and leading team efforts to establish and monitor customer/supplier relations, supporting strategic planning and deployment initiatives, and helping to develop measurement systems to determine organizational improvement. Students will learn how to motivate and evaluate staff, manage projects and human resources, analyze financial situations, determine and evaluate risk and employ knowledge management tools and techniques in resolving organizational challenges.
