Course Description

An analysis of behavior, perspectives and practices as applied to group dynamics. Focus on approaches and skills in group dynamics as they relate to performance and enhancement of cooperative/collaborative effectiveness. Uses practice through role-playing of effective techniques in dealing with a variety of cooperative/collaborative situations.

Learning Outcomes

  • Identify behavioral perspectives and practices as applied to group dynamics within the workplace.
  • Develop a repertoire of approaches and strategies in group dynamics that can be implemented in the workplace.
  • Develop skills in the implementation of approaches and strategies in group dynamics in dealing with a variety of cooperative/collaborative situations.
  • Apply this repertoire effectively in a variety of cooperative/collaborative situations regardless of styles, ethnicity, gender, socio-economic level, cultural backgrounds, native language and/or sexual orientation.
