Course DescriptionA study of the history of science throughout all human cultures. Emphasizes the mutual interaction between science and society, especially in modern times.
- The major discoveries of astronomy, geology, physics, chemistry, and/or biology.
- The effect these revolutionary discoveries had on societal worldviews and mores.
- The revolutionary discoveries and theories of significant scientists, and to give a brief biography of these scientists.
- The effects of 3 major paradigm shifts upon society (and vice versa).
