BIO680 Thesis Formulation

Course Description

Students modify thesis research proposed in BIO 660. Students focus on logistical design, including location of research activities, necessary equipment and hardware, and estimated time and labor. Thesis proposal must be approved for thesis work by the end of the course.

Learning Outcomes

  • Design specific research project, including logistical considerations such necessary sample size, required space and equipment, labor, and budget.
  • Identify necessary skills and procedures for successful completion of research program.
  • Apply professional and scientific ethics and standards in the design of thesis research.
  • Communicate research proposal in written form, with emphasis on logistical considerations.
