- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the philosophical ideas, theories, and works of the philosopher studied.
- Describe the degree to which the philosopher achieved specified philosophical goals.
- Explain the importance of the philosopher studied to the historical development of philosophy.
- Relate the ideas and particular philosophical perspective of the philosopher studied to the student's own life.
