Course Description

Taken concurrently with LUS 200, LUS 200A is designed to strengthen the students' ability to comprehend spoken Luiseño. Intense practice will be provided in auditory comprehension and oral proficiency in the use of the past tenses, in the formation of questions, and in the oblique cases of nouns.

  • Conjugate the preterit tense of select irregular verbs
  • Correctly formulate equative sentences referring to the past
  • Converse, using clitic pronouns referring to the past
  • Conjugate the imperfect tense of regular verbs

  • Conjugate the past frequentive tense of regular verbs
  • Conjugate the past frequentive of select irregular verbs
