CHN101A Beginning Chinese I Lab

Course Description

An intensive online laboratory course in which the student interacts in a speaking and listening mode to a programmed sequence of language units, and posts oral exercises on a designated web log.

Learning Outcomes

  • Interpret basic spoken Chinese phrases for oral comprehension.
  • Interpret basic written Chinese phrases for reading comprehension.
  • Recognize constituent parts of a Chinese sentence.
  • Use common Chinese terms orally in situational context.
  • Deepen understanding of Chinese culture and society.
