ARB101A Beginning Arabic II Lab

Course Description

This laboratory course involves students in the use of common Arabic terms orally in situational context. The student will be involved in oral interpretation of the basic spoken Arabic phrases. Elementary skills in the standard communication modes of speaking, reading, and writing and listening to Arabic are emphasized.

Learning Outcomes

  • Interpret basic spoken Arabic phrases for oral comprehension.
  • Interpret basic written Arabic phrases for reading comprehension.
  • Recognize constituent parts of a simple Arabic sentence.
  • Use common Arabic terms orally in a situational context.
  • Recognize cultural differences between Western and Arabic culture based on materials presented.
