National University Golf Academy to Host Junior Golf Camp for Underprivileged Youth

CARLSBAD, CALIF. – The National University Golf Academy, which offers innovative education programs that combine academics with golf at the high school, associate’s and bachelor’s levels, today announced that it will be hosting a Junior Golf Camp designed to provide underprivileged youths 10- to 17-years-old the opportunity to learn and play golf.
The initial camp consists of an eight-week program beginning on February 4, 2010. Camp sessions will be held every Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Rancho Carlsbad Golf Course located at 5200 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, California, 92010. Registration for the first camp is limited to 25 students and closes on January 29.
The fee for each session of the camp is $5 per student. All camp attendees receive expert golf instruction, Adidas golf apparel, weekly prizes, and golf clubs upon completion of all eight sessions. Scholarships are available for the Junior Golf Camp and to provide transportation assistance for camp attendees.
The camp was made possible through a collaboration between the National University Golf Academy and the United States Golf Association (USGA).
