January 10, 2007
La Jolla, Calif. – Ms. Pamela Moorehead, who earned a Master's of Arts in Human Behavior from National University in 1989, was one of four individuals who were named San Diego County Teachers of the Year in 2006.
Ms. Moorehead, who teaches in San Diego County's Juvenile Court and Community Schools, was featured in the San Diego Union-Tribune. Click here to view the article.
"There is no way I would have been able to earn my master's degree if it weren't for National University," said Ms. Moorehead. "Thanks to my education, I have been able to go out and do some good things, to help children who are most in need and influence them in a positive way that will hopefully change their lives and benefit them for years to come."
Ms. Moorehead, who attended classes at National while working full-time and raising two children, is the latest in a distinguished line of National University alumni and students who have earned the title of San Diego County Teacher of the Year. In 2005, National University student Keith Koelzer was named San Diego County Teacher of the Year. In the 10 years prior to that, five National University alumni were named San Diego County Teacher of the Year.
