National University to Open a `Health Clinic Without Walls' in Watts

 Los Angeles, Calif. – Sept. 15, 2015 – National University - the second largest private, nonprofit university in California - is partnering with UCLA and several community organizations to set up a revolutionary neighborhood `health clinic without walls’ that uses the latest telehealth technologies to bring comprehensive medical care to residents of the Los Angeles neighborhood of Watts. The initiative is the result of a $1.5 million grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to the School of Health and Human Services at National University.

Silicon Valley Business Executive and Philanthropist Shares Tips For Donor Relationship Building

 San Diego, Calif. - Sept. 15, 2015 – Wes Wasson, who left a successful career building and growing some of the leading tech firms in Silicon Valley before focusing on philanthropic efforts around the world, will be among the featured speakers at a Sanford Institute of Philanthropy seminar entitled, The Art of Cause Marketing and Mastering Donor Relationships, set for Sept. 25 at National University – the second-largest, private, nonprofit university in California.

Guest Speaker from J. Craig Venter Institute: Design and Implementation Issues in Clinical Trials

Researchers and members of the biomedical community are invited to attend a lecture Sept. 15 by Nicholas J. Schork, Ph.D., Professor and Director, Human Biology at the J. Craig Venter Institute on the topic of “Design and Implementation Issues in Clinical Trials Advancing Personalized Medicine." Sponsored by the Southern California Drug Metabolism Discussion Group, the event will be held at National University’s Sanford Education Center in La Jolla, Calif. 

Five New Faculty Join School of Business and Management at National University

 Five new faculty members have joined the School of Business and Management at National University – the second-largest, private nonprofit university in California. They include a renowned business lawyer who once represented Converse Inc., a lieutenant colonel who taught at the Air Force Academy, an educator who brings global experience from Beijing to Germany, a former business owner with expertise in organizational leadership, and financial expert who is a leader in using technology in the classroom.

National University Honors Law Enforcement and Public Safety Community at Petco Park

 San Diego, Calif. – Aug. 17, 2015 – National University, the second largest private, nonprofit university in California, will recognize law enforcement and public safety groups  Aug. 21 at Petco park during the San Diego Padres vs. St. Louis Cardinals game. The event, with a special focus on University alumni who have served or are serving their communities as members of various agencies, is an opportunity to thank these public servants who are dedicated to supporting safe and secure communities.
