Each year the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) presents this national award to teachers who integrate innovative environmental curriculum into their classrooms.
Robots, racetracks, and a modified human-powered vehicle, developed by students who are part of the National University System, will be among the featured projects at the Maker Faire San Diego on October 1-2 in Balboa Park. National University congratulates alumni who are being honored as a 2016-2017 Teacher of the Year in school districts throughout California and around the country. As of the end of September, at least ten alumni of the University’s Sanford College of Education have been named county Teacher of the Year in California alone. This includes three of the five finalists in San Diego County, as well as four of the 16 finalists in Los Angeles County.
Virtual health care technology providers, Health Net Connect and iAssay, are collaborating with National University’s Nurse-Managed Clinic in Watts, Los Angeles to support the clinic’s mission to improve health care access for residents.
