National University’s Southern California Commencement Ceremony June 11 will feature keynote speaker Wes Moore, a best-selling author, Rhodes Scholar, U.S. Army veteran, and education leader. The University’s commencement exercises will bring together thousands of students and their families and friends to hear Mr. Moore’s speech and celebrate graduation at Petco Park, marking the first time the University has hosted the venue at the iconic San Diego location.
Sanford Harmony, an innovative social-emotional learning program that reinforces positive peer interactions among children, will soon expand to Los Angeles after school programs run by LA’s BEST, an organization that provides safe and supervised after school education, enrichment and recreation programs. The agreement with California-based National University, which is leading the program’s expansion, means that LA's Best will ultimately integrate the PreK-6 Sanford Harmony program at nearly 200 school sites serving 25,000 children.

St. Louis, MO—Tuesday, April 19, 2016—Twelve education foundation executives from 10 states are the first to be nationally certified as leaders in one of philanthropy’s fastest-growing fields. The National School Foundation Association (NSFA), the recognized leader of the Pre K-12 education foundation movement in the United States, developed the program in collaboration with National University and its Sanford Institute of Philanthropy. The graduates are being honored during the association’s 11th annual National Conference (April 18-20) in St. Louis.
In advance of upcoming citywide elections, the National University School of Professional Studies is hosting a San Diego City Attorney Candidate Forum at the University’s Sanford Education Center in La Jolla. The forum, which is free and open to the public, features four candidates vying for the city attorney spot, and it will take place April 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
