Class Notes

Homa Khamsi (MBA, 1988) has been promoted to Associate Director of Administration at the Labor Occupational Health Program of School of Public Health at UC Berkeley.  She has also been awarded "Excellence in Management" award at UC Berkeley.

Sandhya Ashok (MBA, 2000) is a senior program manager at Cisco Systems.  She has won several Cisco Achievement Program awards at her job, one of which is an award from Cisco CEO John Chambers. The awards recognize employees for their exceptional contributions, including customer service, innovation and team work.

Lori Rigsbee (MBA, 1996) has worked for Weiss & Company, a San Diego-based CPA firm, since 1996. During that time she has earned her California CPA license, her Certified Fraud Examiner's license, and most recently her Master of Taxation from Florida Atlantic University. She is currently in a management position and has obtained several of her own clients.

Cesar Rivas-Sandoval (Master of Education, 2004) has been hired as an assistant defensive coach at University of Nebraska at Kearney.  For the past two years he was defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference member Fort Lewis College

Crystal Martin (MBA, 2003) is the proprietor of a marketing agency called Smart Marketing. Her Yuba City-based business currently engages more than a dozen employees and contractors and serves dozens of clients, ranging from start-up businesses to large hospitals and banks. Ms. Martin's company also manages three local festivals.

Sharon Graham (MS, Software Engineering 1990) has been retired for about 10 years, but remains very active with the Continuing Learning Experience group at California State University Fullerton. Through CLE, which offers seniors a unique opportunity to participate in classes, workshops, trips and other activities, Ms. Graham volunteers and teaches classes in the PC computer lab.

Michelle Therese Ross (MBA, 1997) is teaching at National University in the areas of Organizational Development, Management and Leadership while pursuing her Ph.D. in industrial/organizational Psychology. Her dissertation is titled: CEOs: Leadership and Communication Effectiveness.

Ron Arenz (Master of Education, 2002) has been named head volleyball coach at University of West Alabama. Previously he served one season as an assistant coach at Michigan State University.  Prior to that he was a coach at Western Michigan University.

Crisann Kennedy (MBA, 2005) is currently a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, stationed onboard the nuclear aircraft carrier U.S.S. CARL VINSON. Lt. Kennedy serves as an industrial hygienist/industrial hygiene officer. On a recent world combat deployment, she supervised 10 junior personnel in providing a safe and healthy workplace for her crew and air wing.

Sue Race (MBA, 1989) is a certified information technology senior project manager for Computer Sciences Corporation in Lansing, Michigan.  She has supervised technical teams for large projects such as modernizing the Internal Revenue Service, and is currently working with Motorola as a client.

Michal Anderson Jacob (MBA, 1992) is vice president of administration and chief financial officer of KCTS, the public television station in Seattle. Ms. Jacob oversees station revenues of close to $22 million. KCTS is ranked as the fifth-most-watched television station in the country, serving more than 2 million viewers each week.

Brandon Moring (CRED, 2005) has been appointed the boy's tennis coach at Ceres High School in Ceres, California, approximately 100 miles south of Sacramento.

Martin Novell (MA, Counseling Psychology 1995) has been a psychotherapist for approximately eleven years. He co-leads a group on relationships in the Culver City area of Los Angeles, near the Fox Hills Mall.
