Date Announced for National University's Annual NBCT Event
A NBPTS standards training program will be offered on May 5
Each year, National University hosts a reception for the state's National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs), and those considering National Board Certification.
This year, the Third Annual NBCT reception will take place on May 6, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Torrey Pines Academic and Administrative Headquarters. Please RSVP to National University NBCT Support and Leadership Center Director Rae Adams at radams.nu.edu or 858-642-8352.
For those interested in learning about and teaching in the Master of Arts in Teaching with a Specialization in NBC Teacher Leadership, there is a ten-month program with 5 courses devoted to developing the NBCT Portfolio and no thesis requirement.
For support providers interested in being officially "trained" according to NBPTS standards, Rae Adams will offer a training program on Friday, May 5 from 9 a.m. to 4p.m., also at Torrey Pines. Rooms at the Double Tree Hotel can be booked with advance RSVPs. Fee for the training will be $45.00 to cover cost of materials. The Training is limited to first 50 participants from CA who are currently working or planning to work with candidates during the 2006-07 certificate window.
Interested parties are encouraged to RSVP to or contact Rae Adams at radams.nu.edu or 858-642-8352.
