"In a special meeting, the Mohave County Board of Supervisor approved 2-1 to continue County Manager Ron Walker's employment another three years. Walker's contract as county manager ends Dec. 30. He became county manager Jan. 1, 2002, beating out 17 applicants. Walker took over for Dick Skalicky who left in 2001. More

Samuel Delgado (1998)
An El Paso native who is a military recruiter was recently awarded the Navy's Commendation Medal for outstanding recruiting service.
Navy Lt. Cmdr. Sam Delgado, 36, a 1987 graduate of Andress High School, will also receive the Navy's Diversity Officer Recruiter of the Year award Dec. 2 in Washington, D.C., for achieving a high degree of diversity in recruiting. The rank of Navy lieutenant commander is the equivalent of a major in the Army. More
