Mr. John Moinester
"I love start-ups," says John Moinester, the new CFO and executive vice president of Zenodata Corporation in Louisville, Colorado. Zenodata Corporation has operations in Colorado, Barbados and China, and Mr. Moinester heads up the company's Barbados subsidiary. The company operates the country's first fully "intelligent" land/property record database. Incorporated in 2000, Zenodata provides the sort of start-up excitement Mr. Moinester thrives on.
Moinester, whose ambition seeps from his voice when speaking about business, graduated from National University in 1980 with an MBA in financial management. He attended National while in the Navy, and says that the format accommodated his unpredictable schedule caused by traveling and deployment.
Since leaving the Navy after five years on active duty, Moinester has worked with a number of innovative companies. He served as chief operating officer of Healthcare Reports, LLC; co-founder and chief financial officer of iBelay, LLC; and chief financial officer and senior vice president of business development for MatchLogic, Inc. Previously, he was vice president of finance and operations for BioStar, Inc.; co-founder, chief operating officer, and chief financial officer for ComByte, Inc.; and held the position of vice president and chief financial officer at Colorado Memory Systems.
Although Moinester's passion is the pioneering nature of start-ups, he believes in the principle of a unique business model. "I congratulate National," says Moinester, "on its innovative approach to providing education for people who might otherwise not have access to it."
