Mr. Frank Gagliardi
Frank Gagliardi earned a B.B.A. from National University in 1984 with honors. A Major in the U.S. Marine Corps at the time, he was a fighter pilot flying the F-4 Phantom. He cites that his experience at National University was incredible in that the University was so accommodating towards the military and their deployments.
Mr. Gagliardi enlisted in the USMC in 1968 and applied for Officer Candidate School with aspirations to fly. After being accepted into flight school with the Air Force, after which he was deployed to Viet Nam for one year.
After graduating from National, he was selected to serve on the Amphibious Warfare Presentation Team. Traveling across the country and internationally, Mr. Gagliardi briefed defense personnel and senior officers on amphibious warfare. When he returned to flying, it was the F/A 18 Hornet. Mr. Gagliardi retired from the Marine Corps in 1991 as Lieutenant Colonel.
Mr. Gagliardi is now the District Agent for First Command Financial Planning. First Command is the largest provider of financial planning services for military families in the U.S. “I’m very grateful to still be working with a caliber of people such as the Marines and I’m glad to be giving back,” Mr. Gagliardi says.
Mr. Gagliardi is a member of several organizations, including two Corvette Clubs; he participates in open road racing, and won the Nevada road race last May. He is also a member of the Military Officers Association of America, the Navy Aviators Association, the Sons of the American Revolution, and the Civilian Military Council.
