National University Launches Virtual High School
by Tonya Gray
The National University Virtual High School (NUVHS) is a bold, creative online learning environment that tailors learning to individual student needs.
NUVHS offers a wide variety of instructor-led, online high school courses in an interactive learning environment. Using multi-dimensional technology, NUVHS offers courses in math, English, fine arts, practical arts, science, social science and technology, all taught by certified teachers who are specially trained to provide high quality online instruction.
What makes NUVHS unique?
At NUVHS, students take a full semester course in just eight weeks. This way, students can focus their energy on a few subjects at a time—and still cover the classes they need in the school year. Class size is limited to 25 students and all NUVHS instructors are California credentialed and love teaching online! NUVHS courses meet or exceed California or national content standards.
How much does it cost? Are my children eligible for scholarships?
NUVHS is pleased to offer children of National University alumni a 20 percent discount for the 2004/2005 Academic Year. Courses are competitively priced at $600 each.
Who is the Virtual High School designed for?
For many parents and students, online learning is the perfect solution. The online format is a great option for students who:
- Want to take classes unavailable at their school.
- Are physically unable to attend class.
- Require a flexible schedule due to athletics or other activities.
- Need to work at their own speed.
- Wish to avoid unsafe school environments.
- Live in remote areas.
- Have parents who are forced to relocate frequently.
- Are home schooled.
- Need to make up credits.
We invite National University alumni and their children to learn more about NUVHS. Please call us for a copy of our brochure or visit our website for more information on how to enroll. Call today!
