Professor Writes About Anti-War Films

Thomas Pollard's article is published in International Journal

Thomas Pollard, Ph.D., a professor in the College of Letters and Sciences' department of social sciences, has published an article, "Bad Wars, Hollywood's anti-war films" in the International Journal of Diversity in Organisations, Communities and Nations.

The Journal is a peer-reviewed publication for those interested in, and concerned for mediating cultural difference and diversity. It is published in Australia for an international audience.

Dr. Pollard is the co-author of a book titled A World in Chaos:  Social Crisis and the Rise of Postmodern Cinema."  The book, published by Roman & Littlefield, presents a critical look at post-modern movement in contemporary film and its relationship to social trends.  He wrote the book with National University professor Carl Boggs, Ph.D.   He has also filmed a mini-documentary, The Making of The War Caves of Peleliu, which was produced for A&E's History Channel.
