SOET Faculty Member Honored as Chief Guest at International Computer Conference

Hassan Badkoobehi, Ph.D., a professor in the School of Engineering and Technology's department of applied engineering, was honored as Chief Guest by the International Conference on Computer Application (ICCA) at its 2010 meeting in Pondicherry, India this past December.

According to his colleague, SOET Professor Mohammad Amin, Dr. Badkoobehi  was selected from a large field by the ICCA conference committee. Dr. Amin said that a total of9119 papers were received by the organization for review.

Dr. Badkoobehi is faculty advisor for the Master of Science program in Environmental Engineering.  He has served as a faculty member at National University for 21 years, and was a 2002 recipient of the President's Distinguished Teaching Award, recognizing excelllence in teaching among National University's full-time faculty.

Dr. Badkoobehi received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, where he designed, organized and directed numerous projects for Oklahoma’s Bureau of Water and Environmental Resources. He is a licensed general engineering contractor in California.
