National University will return as title sponsor for the 2014 University Holiday Bowl, a nationally broadcast college football tournament scheduled for Saturday, December 27.
The game, which will be televised live on ESPN, matches a Big Ten Conference team against a team from the Pac-12 Conference.Kickoff is at 5 p.m. at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.
National University was title sponsor for the 2013 Holiday Bowl. National University President Michael Cunningham conducted the ceremonial coin toss, then later returned to the field to present four veteran students with a National University Veteran’s Victory Scholarship.
The 2013 National University Holiday Bowl also featured a “Salute to Teachers” and a “Salute to the Military.” This year's event promises similar opportunities for recognition and visibility.
In addition to building national awareness of National University, the 2014 Holiday Bowl will provide the opportunity for alumni to participate in community-oriented events such as the affiliated 5K race and parade. Tickets and ticket discounts for the game will be available.
