Autism Education Certificate Program Offered

Alumni can Increase their knowledge and update skills with an affordable Autism Education Certificate from National University’s Division of Extended Learning.

This CTC-approved certificate, offered for continuing education units (CEUs), is designed for persons interested in working with those who fall within the Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The four-course sequence is designed to provide the student with an orientation to the terms and the characteristics involved, assessment and behavior management interaction strategies, a variety of teaching techniques, and skills needed in collaborating with parents and families of autistic persons.

Students must complete “Introduction to Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders” first in the sequence. Each course is taught online for eight weeks. Courses can also be taught onsite at a National University campus or at an off-site location for groups of 20 or more.

This four course sequence, offered for Continuing Educational Units (CEUs), is designed to orient students with the terms and characteristics involved in assessment and behavior management interaction strategies, and other skills necessary in collaborating with parents and families of those who fall within the Autism Spectrum Disorder.
