World Music Event Features Grammy Award Winning Indian Musician

May 5 concert in Encinitas, CA is free to the public

The National University Center for Cultural and Ethnic Studies (NUCCES), in conjunction with the Indian Fine Arts Academy of San Diego, presents the 2013 World Music Event on Sunday, May 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Seaside Center for Spiritual Living in Encinitas, CA. Admission is free.

Performers include Indian slide guitar player and Grammy Award winner Pt. Vishwa Mohan Batt. He is the creator of the Mohan Veena, a modified steel-stringed guitar which has been described as an Indianized Hawaiian guitar. The concert also features Pt. Subhen Chatterjee on Tabla. NUCCES presents events which are relevant to National University's non-traditional and traditional students as well as diverse faculty and community groups enabling exposure to diverse cultural influences and serious, widespread, and ongoing dialog on issues.
