Veterans' Victory Scholarships Go to Three Students

Three veteran students at National University were awarded Veterans’ Victory Scholarships in May. The scholarships offer up to $5,000 for qualified students, based on either academic or community achievement and financial need.

The recipients are:

• A nursing student from San Diego, California who is active with the Balboa Warriors Athlete Program

• A student from Albuquerque, New Mexico who is pursuing a Master of Science in Education Administration to improve veteran service and support systems in higher education

• A student from Tehachapi, California who was the president of her college veterans club and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology

Those who are current students at National University, and have previously served in a branch of the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible for the Veterans' Victory Scholarship. The application requires two essays of 250-500 words, regarding educational and career goals and financial need.
