Alum Elected to Board of Manufacturing Leadership Council

 The Manufacturing Leadership Council, a global business network for senior industrial executives, has announced the election of alumnus Dana Deasy (MBA, 1987) to the Manufacturing Leadership Board of Governors.

The Board of Governors steers the Manufacturing Leadership Council and its global community of more than 5,300 industry executives from organizations such as Ford Motor Company, Lockheed Martin, Dell, Cisco Systems, UCLA, MIT, L'Oreal, the University of Cambridge, and GlaxoSmithKline.

Deasy is Group Chief Information Officer and Group Vice President, Information Technology and Services at BP. In that position, he is responsible for all global IT, indirect procurement and group real estate strategies and key capabilities that support BP's multiple business operations, including refining, marketing, exploration, production and commodity trading. He led a major transformation project across BP's entire IT organization to help maximize the company's competitive edge in the energy industry and increase the value IT provides to its businesses.
